Once you register your child you will receive this form to sign and return, please read it carefully.

General
Participants in activities organized by Klayit Sarl and Knock On Wood Craft Factory Sarl agree to use a workshop and its equipment in accordance with the safety rules established by the owners of the space or the organizers. Children under 14 can only participate with their parents OR as part of a guided class or camp activity.

Security
All those who legally reside in Switzerland have compulsory civil liability insurance.

Children will receive an introduction to safety including the following points. We also ask you to go over these points at home before coming to camp:

- Appropriate attire must be worn when working in the wood workshop. No jewelry or loose clothing may be worn when working with tools. Girls must wear a headband.
- No participant is allowed to work with power tools alone in the workshop.
- Report all accidents or incidents immediately to the workshop supervisor, regardless of severity.
- Do not use a tool or machine if you have not been shown how to use it safely by the workshop supervisor.
- When learning to use a tool or machine, listen very carefully to all instructions given by the workshop supervisor. Ask questions, especially if you don't fully understand.
- Keep hands away from operating/rotating machines.
- Playing and running with tools is prohibited. There will be free time to play outside.

Accidents

In the event of an emergency or accident, the participant agrees to allow the organizers to take immediate action; first aid and/or call an ambulance. Participants should inform the organizers of any small cuts or injuries during the workshop so that they can be treated immediately.

Allergies, medical conditions

In case of dust allergy, the participant should bring their own medication and a special mask. Any other intolerances or medical conditions, including special needs, seizures, epilepsy, diabetes, heart problems and hypertension, should be discreetly reported to the organizers.

Attire

All participants should dress comfortably in work clothes. Closed, rubber-soled shoes are required for safety reasons. Ladies and girls must have headbands. We provide safety glasses, hearing protection and masks, however once you become a regular user it is best to have your own.

Material

All materials, tools, machinery and accessories are supplied by Klayit and Knock On Wood.

Cancelation

Knock On Wood Craft Factory has a one-week cancellation policy for summer camp where a subscription fee can be refunded less a 15% processing fee. Beyond that, a partial refund of 50% may be requested.

Damage

Participants are responsible for damages caused by negligence. Therefore, all tools and machines we share should be used intentionally and respectfully.

Knowledge, intellectual property

Knock On Wood Craft Factory uses certain methodologies and models to teach adults and children about crafting primarily in professional spaces. The current projects of professionals and the projects and methodologies of Klayit and Knock On Wood Craft Factory cannot be taken up or copied outside of our activities. Klayit and Knock On Wood run a social impact educational project and provide space, knowledge and opportunities for adults and children to learn hand making in a safe environment but in a modern way. The satisfaction of our participants is important to us, so if you have any tips and ideas for improving things, your constructive comments are more than welcome.

Klayit and Knock On Wood Europe reserve the right to use any photograph/video taken at any KOW sponsored event, without the express written permission of the individuals featured in the photograph/video. Klayit and Knock On Wood may use photography/video in publications or other media materials produced, used or contracted by Klayit and KOW, including but not limited to: brochures, invitations, books, newspapers, magazines, television, websites, etc.
